Get to know Dr Kathryn Neumann (Osteopath)
Dr Kathryn Neumann (Osteopath) graduated from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Science (Clinical Sciences) and Masters of Health Science (Osteopathy) and has been working (practising) since 2015.
Dr Kathryn Neumann was drawn to Osteopathy for its holistic approach and treatment of the human body. Whilst at high school and suffering with headaches and back pain, Kathryn saw an Osteopath and loved the long lasting results she received from treatment.
Kathryn always loved learning about the human body, anatomy and biomechanics and has a passion for caring for people, so Osteopathy was a clear choice when it came to a career path.
Kathryn enjoys treating patients of all ages and from all walks of life. She has a special interest in treating postural complaints, neck and upper back pain, as well as pregnancy related pain and dysfunctions. She loves getting to the root cause of pain and discomfort. She strongly believes in educating and empowering her patients on how to take their health and wellbeing into their own hands to help avoid these dysfunctions from occurring again and keep them functioning at their best.
Kathryn loves to create a fun and engaging space for her treatments and utilises a range of techniques from soft tissue massage, high velocity low amplitude manipulation, articulation, muscle energy techniques, balanced ligamentous tension, Osteopathy in the Cranial Field and rehabilitation in her treatments. She believes having a solid toolkit of techniques allows her to work with her patients to utilise the best techniques for them and their needs.
Kathryn enjoys learning and is often jumping at any opportunity to learn more about the profession she loves and refining or learning new techniques to add to her repertoire. She has done further training in balanced ligamentous tension, Osteopathy in the Cranial Field and rehabilitation.
When she isn’t at work, Kathryn enjoys getting out into nature, going for walks/hikes, practicing yoga, cooking and baking and spending time with her family and friends.
